  • bad quality jeans

Hi Team! I bought a pair of 711 SKINNY MID RISE LEVI JEANS in the middle of 2016 only because my younger brother is a longstanding user of this clothing brand and he suggested me. Believe me, I am regretting on my decision to move my trusted ZARA to LEVI'S. I am still using my 4 years old jeans from another brand and its still new. I have heard about unbeatable quality and exceptional comfort of the brand but when I started using it, its less durable and quality is crap. I wear it hardly 3-4 times since I bought it than I throw it into my closet. I can see its snow white nd slightly... More...

  • Want 2 pair Levi's replaced

I bought my husband 2 pair of Levi's. I got pair of black and the 501's, size 40w 36L Relaxed Fit. After wearing them to work several times. They started to look worn out. I know Levi Strauss has a lifetime warranty on their Jeans for sure. I wasn't expecting a problem so I threw the receipt away a while back. But, I'm not worried a bit. Because, I know you stand behind your products. You can contact me on the email then I'll give you more details. I've already donated them. To Thrift in the tow next to me. • Crap jeans

I know you think consumers are dumb and will buy anything but I will NOT. I do not appreciate going to JCPenney, which I have shopped at and bought Levi's at for years, having cheap 501 jeans with the same weight of material as you would find on a pair of Walmart Rustlers (not that I would buy them either). At least those cheap ass jens come with a year warranty. I was fooled by the cheap quality 501s once (because I was sick when I bought them) but not twice. I know how much Levi's are supposed to weigh just by picking them up. Might as well just sell me my birthday suit. More...

  • Levi's Poor Quality

I have worn Levis for 60 years and, until recently, liked their fit and durability. However, the quality of the jeans has substantially deteriorated in recent years. My last two pairs of 505 jeans have developed frays and holes in low-wear areas such as the outside seams while the rest of the jeans are in good condition. According to the labels, these Levis were made in Haiti. Perhaps the fabric is made from poor quality cotton, but Levi Strauss should do a better job of quality control, particularly when their product is made in a third-world country! More...

  • Same product number BUT COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!!

I've been buying and wearing Levi 505's for many, many years. After experiencing a noticeable decline in product integrity, wearability and comfort I called Levi and learned of the tragic death of a once excellent product. The 505, although carrying the same product number, is NOTHING like the old namesake. Levi has: a. "lightened" the weight of the denim now calling it a "fashion ware" vs. the former work ware; b. they've lowered the waist, now raised it back up; c. they made it a looser fit, now it's gone back to a tighter fit; d. and the... • sears purchase if Levi jeans

II bought two pairs of Levis in the past year and a half from Sears in Lincoln Park Michigan. The first pair the zipper is broke never been washed never been worn and me are not too tight. When I put them on the first time and went to zip them up the zipper came loose from the bottom of the zipper. They are still sitting in my drawer the store will not take them back I do not have a receipt. I bought another pair approximately six months ago they were too big so I did not wear them I was able to wear them the other day and behind the left knee it appears that there is a small hole... • Levi 501

Like many others on this site, I have been a loyal fan of Levi 501's since the 60's. In the last 2years, I have noticed that the 501s are being cut smaller and smaller, particularly through the legs,(I use older pairs of 501s to measure against the newer 501s - so it is not a question of imagination or weight gain) and the seams near the crotch wear VERY quickly. The quality of Levi 501 has become extremely inconsistant. I regret that I will NO LONGER purchase Levi 501s More...

I received a gift for Christmas that didn't fit. I went to a local Levi's location and returned it. I received store credit. Turns out, however, that this store is lacking their 513 cut...period. I contacted their customer service email to see if I could have my credit cancelled with the store and be given a promo code to use online or something like that. I was told no...I explained that what I want is available online but not in the stores whatsoever. • 501 Jean Quality

I%u2019m almost 54 and have been buying 501%u2019s since I was in my early 20%u2019s. Back then the first part of the jean to give out was the knees%u2026now in the last few years it%u2019s the belt loops and crotches that have been giving out way to quickly! In the past seven or so years I%u2019ve had the majority of my 501%u2019s with at least one belt loop giving out in the back within a short amount of time of purchasing them and now more recently the crotches have been giving out. • Levi Strauss & Co. Jean Quality

I am an avid fan of the Levi Jean look, but in the past year and a half, I have gone through 4 pairs. All 4 have ripped at the crotch. Now I am am not a very active person. Especially when I am wearing Levi's. I usually wear them to look nice in, not to do any strenuous activities in which ripping of the crotch would happen. I learned about Levi Strauss back in middle school, the man who created a new type of canvas jeans for the gold miners to use, that were tough and durable. First that was 160 years ago, and second, my pants ripping from just walking around is ridiculous. I... More...

  • Levi's 505 Straight Fit/Pre-washed

I've worn these Levi's Jeans almost my whole adult life. A few years back, some of the belt loops tore away from the pants at the bottom of the loop. I didn't think anything of it until the current few pairs I have that are only a couple of years old repeated the same problem. This seems to be a pattern with the Levi's. I haven't shopped for other brands, because I'm one of those persons who almost refuses to embrace change. At almost or over $40 a pair, these really should be tougher. More...

  • A defective 501 Levis purchased

I have been a longstanding user and owner of many, many Levis Jeans for several years and have been extremely satisfied. My 12 year old son, Yohann is also an user and owner of several brands of jeans, including Levi's. Seeing my collection of 501 jeans and also my stated preference for Levis 501, my son obviously wanted to own a 501. I purchased a 501 for him and he was happy with the purchase. When he 1st wore it for a party among friends, he came home with the side seam ripped apart ( obviously a quality problem, which should not have passed quality control. I called up the Levis... • Poor quality in Levis

I've worn Levis for as long as I can remember and have tried multiple styles over the last 30 years. The last several pairs I purchased wore out in a few months. At first, I thought I had done something unusual to cause the denim to fray, but after seeing each pair I've purchased fall apart, I realized that Levis just stopped making a quality product. I loved these jeans and I still have pairs that I purchased over 10 years ago that fit and wear well. Everything I've bought in the last few years... well...they're crap. Poor buttonhole stittching, thin denim that... More...

I have purchased Levis jeans for over 23 years. Each pair has lasted me years. I recently purchased a 516 pair which only lasted a few months. First the belt loops broke, which I had repaired, then when playing 10 pin bowling the crotch are ripped open. I noticed the jeans were manufactured in Bangladesh. Levi has always been my only choice but had to switch to Lee due the quality of Levi jeans available today. More...

I recently ordered some merchandise from the Levi's web site and it is has been nothing but problems. When the order arrived the packing slip was correct but all of the merchandise was wrong. I understand that these things happen, so I called their customer service line where I was told to call back in 2 days. Seriously? That was the only answer I could get. I then emailed their customer service who responded that it is their protocol to wait on missing packages and it could be at the neighbors. • Faulty Jeans

I bought a pair of jeans from Belk Department store about a month and a half ago. The button broke off. I've only worn them about a dozen times, and yes, they are my size. The other pants I bought the same day similar to these are ok. I took them to Belk to replace them, they were going to charge me $20 to replace these pants because I didn't have the tags. Needless to say, I kept the ones I had and will try to fix them. I felt this was unfair, as I paid full price for these pants, and I feel they should have lasted longer than a month. $44 for a pair of jeans is not cheap!... More...

  • Levi's jeans

I have been a loyal customer for Levi's jeans for twenty years. They were, in my opinion, the best out there. Unfortunately for me and my shrinking wallet, the quality has gone down dramatically. 2 pair of jeans lost the riveted buttons and are now unwearable, a third pair, recently purchased, is already on it's way to the same fate. A number of other pairs have ripped consistently in the same place after less than moderate wear. I cannot afford to replace jeans that lose their buttons and rip after 3-4 months and very little use, it's unacceptable. Sadly, I may have to turn... More...

I have been a loyal customer of Levi-Strauss for over 20 years, the quality and fit was always exceptional, but no more,it seems. 2 pair of jeans, barely worn, have had the rivet buttons pop off and a third pair is on it's way to the same demise. A fourth pair ripped in the back pocket all the way down (a common complaint I've been hearing from others lately). I don't know what has happened with the quality of Levi's jeans lately, but it is unacceptable, especially in these hard economic times. What are Docker slacks made of these days? The material is SO THIN that I don't dare wash them/I ware them at least 3 times before I give them a bath (careful to put them on perm/press with other DELICATE ITEMS). The waist band has worn through all along the top edge and corners. It's SNOW WHITE underneath. THEY ARE ONLY 4 MONTHS OLD! Docker quality has gone as low as I'm willing to put up with. I have purchased Dockers for many years, and never have I been so disappointed. I will no longer be buying DOCKERS!!!!!! More...

  • very inappropriate and boring, base and childish billboard

I am what Levis would consider their model consumer. I am also someone who will no longer EVER buy Levis due not only to their boring and ill-fitting denim and tired looking stores, but primarily because of their offensive billboard in Los Angeles. Why use the word "ASSES" in huge bold capital letters? Is your advertising agency really that absurd and out of touch that they think being 'shocking' and 'rude' is going to drive customers to the mall? Use some originality. It is beyond offensive, which of course was the intent. How dull to try to be provocative in... More...

I have been wearing Levi's my entire life. Almost 45+ years. In the last few years, any Levi jean I buy has the same belt loop break off. The one to the left of the tag, looking at the tag. At least 6 pairs in the last two years.

This is so disappointing considering the price paid to have a pair of jeans become virtually un-wearable while still new.

I have been wearing levi 501's for over 55 yrs. After shrinking the les are still too long and I have to roll them up so I don't step on them with my heel's. Because they are all made in so many different countries the quality sucks. Depending on where they are made the fabric is different. Pockets start to frey and belt loops fall off. What does levi intend to do to correct this.

To the Levi Group,
I have been wearing Levi jeans since my mother use to buy them for me, I was born in 1951. I've always loved my Levi jeans. Recently I purchased a pair at J.C. Penny's and SHOCKED to see how much the quality of theses fantastic jeans has gone down. You sure don't make them the same anymore. Levi jeans now, aren't thick, rough, tough, durable, last forever manly pants anymore. Now, very poor quality and outrages prices. My question is (WHY???) Being a life time customer, I am deeply disappointed in you and you have now lost a loyal, faithful customer. Actually, Honestly, I'm pissed!! Shame,Shame,Shame on you and who ever is running the business now. I truly believe that Mr.Strauss is turning over in his grave several times due to your poor quality, very high prices and making lodes of money on his Name. I would very much like a response from you and answers. Shame on you again!!
Mr. David Valdez. Former Customer.

I purchased a Levis shirt from Centre Square , Ernakulam. After first wearing two golden spots appeared on the shirt and after next waering many golden spots appear on dark blue shirt and stopped wearing it. I have many international and national brands , some brands even cheaper than Levis , had this problem before. Either quality is not good or it is not the original one.

Hi , Yesterday I purchased a Jeans from Levis store in MGF Metropolitan Mall , Gurgaon . Generally I do not alter the jeans. But the sales guy insisted so got agree to alter a little bit. After alteration when I wear it, I saw it had been altered to very large extent which looks quite odd to wear. Today I visited the store & narrate the story . The store Manager was Mr. Neeraj Mishra. He was so rude . Misbehaved with me . Although he replaced my jeans with a fresh piece but he was shouting on me & attend me very badly . I am also working for one of the top Retail Apparel brand & I am shocked to see how such bad mannered & Idiot People are hired by Levis . Does they think any of the customer will visit again their store.

My son has worn Levi's Silver Tabs baggy fit since high school until they quit making them. He has tried several different kinds of jeans but cannot find any that fit as well as the Silver Tabs. Any chance they will bring them back? We bought several pairs and now he is down to his last pair. He is 38 so he has worn these many years.

I've been wearing Levis for over 50 years. I recently ordered 4 new pair of 505 Jeans online and these are the about sorriest things I've ever seen. The material is tissue thin and cheap feeling and they cut down on the number of belt loops. I thought they had made a mistake and left some off of the first pair I put on but the other are all the same. I had to pay a seamstress to sew extra belt loops on them because my belt kept riding up over my pants. A thread pulled out of the right leg of one pair I was wearing for the first time and now I swear it looks like I have a run in the leg of my blue jeans. You got me once but never again. I don't know what would make someone take a respected name like Levi and just crap all over it like that.

Pure crap. Levis used to be high quality now they are just high price for low quality junk. Yet another pair of jeans that lasted less then a week before they developed a hole...this time in the knee. Last two times in the seat and crotch. Guess that's what you get for moving your operation overseas and screwing over the American public that made you into what you are.

I've been buying Levi jeans for much of my adult life. Lately, I've discovered Levi 505 jeans no longer fit the way they used to. They now sit lower in the waist and I feel like a friggin hippie wearing hip huggers. I can't stand wearing these things as I'm constantly trying to pull my pants up. Yesterday, I took em off for the last time and threw all those low rise crappy pants in the trash.

Why do companies try to fix things that aren't broken? Coca Cola tried it years ago with a new formula and almost went broke till they switched back to their Classic recipe. Well it looks like those idiots at Levi's think they know better than the people that have bought their products for years. I predict they're gonna go broke trying to shove their redesigned jeans down our throats.

Wake up Levis, your customers aren't happy. Fire the bum who came up with this new harebrained style and go back to the way you always made them.

I have worn Levi's since I was eight years old (that was 54 years ago) I wore them all through college, in casual settings and on the job. My choice has always been 501 Button Fly. Through all these years I was always impressed by the attention to detail, the wear and fit of a "good"pair of Levi's. Yes I stepped over to Wrangler and Lee, but they were any match to a good pair of Levi's. Today I have Levi's made in Haiti and Egypt. The material is nothing like the old Levi's. It has an oily feel to it no matter how many times they have been washed. The feel is almost like fabrics that have been washed with too much fabric softner. The seams do not fit straight down the inseam or the outside of the leg. They cross to the front of the leg about mid way down. After several washings and wearing the stitching on the top of the back pockets start to tear away from the pants. I understand the cost of doing business. But this cost of doing cheap business is going to lose you a loyal customer. I have six pairs of these poorly made Levi's and I consider them a waste of money for what I have gotten in return.

unclejohn says: (9 years ago)

The quality of Levi's has suffered greatly. They all seem to tear at the back pocket or button holes in the 501 brand. 1 month is about the limit on the 501's. Sad, they used to be the best jeans around but now are to expensive to buy for a months wear.
